Smartphones Outsell Feature Phones For The First Time In Japan

Revolution in mobile-mad Japan: Market research firm GfK has reported Japan that more smartphones to feature phones sold in the country between March 28 and April 3. To be more concrete, was 50.1% of devices sold in Japan in iOS week, Android, Windows or BlackBerry phones (see chart).
GfK says that the main driver here Android, the carriers have started to provide moremodels and more in recent months. Unfortunately, GfK does not provide the total number.
The report does not come as much of a surprise, seeing Android phones to be toppingthe sales charts in Japan, such as the S galaxy (in January) or the medias NEC(March).
