Apple saw record sales for their new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 Pluses in September, but witnessed declines in their iPad shipments. IPad sales have declined over the past two quarters, but the product still brought in $32 billion last year. This will be in addition to the silver and gray available for the lighter iPad air. Therefore, After such a successful business done by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus sales so Apple decided to regain their declined business in iPad since last 2010. That’s why Apple decided to throw a such a fantastic view of iPad which contains 24 Karat Gold, towards their customers. They believed that, this time they regain their iPad sale as well, after a successful sale run of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The new 9.7-inch iPads will reportedly launch in October with 24 Karat Gold as an available color option for the rear metal cover. A new iPad has not been released since last October, but the shiny new color might not be convincing enough to bolster sales.
RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani said the right move for Apple would be to introduce a larger iPad, because it would appeal to a new crowd. More customers have been shifting to larger phones, like Apple’s new 6 Plus, which has a 5.5-inch screen.
However, sources with knowledge of the situation said this won’t happen until next year.
