Here is your classic case of “just because you can does not mean you should.” Microsoft Innovation Lab has recently carried out a video OneVision recognition algorithm that is strong enough to face the duty of running the video feed is demonstrated. It can detect and track humanoid face even if they are in motion, accepts tags that allow the automatic identification of people, as expressed in the frame, and can ultimately lead to some very sophisticated video editing and indexing through automated collection of Information.
