When Nexus 5 will get update of Android 5.0 Lollipop ?


Even older Nexus devices like the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2012) will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop showing that Google truly optimized the OS so that it can run on older generation devices just as well as the newest flagships. Naturally Google has confirmed that the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Google Play Edition devices. The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule will depend on each individual OEM, but we already have a fairly good idea of what devices are in like to get Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Motorola doesn’t have a full release date schedule for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but based off Motorola’s track record and the speed with which it pushed out the Android 4.4 KitKat update, second only to the Nexus device Once Android 5.0 L is officially released, we intend to bring this latest upgrade to many of our other Motorola devices, as well. Motorola has confirmed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update will roll out to many of its devices. We’re still working out the details on timing and the upgrade depends on our partners’ support so stay tuned to our software upgrades page for the latest and greatest.
This includes Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto G (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini.

Samsung Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule

Naturally Samsung flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha should get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update first. Other Samsung devices are also expected to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. According to the Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule from SamMobile the following older Samsung devices:

LG Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule

Other LG devices aren’t quite certain, though CNET says the LG G2 Pro, LG G2 and the LG G Pro are all likely. LG hasn’t officially provided an Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule yet, but the LG G3 should certainly get it.

HTC Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule

HTC has confirmed its Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule, saying that the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 would both get the update 90 days following the final software from Google. We will begin rolling out updates to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) worldwide within 90 days of receiving final software from Google, followed shortly thereafter by other One family members and select devices. We also anticipate that new devices like the HTC Desire Eye will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update should rollout worldwide to both flagships. HTC is excited about the new features in the Android L release and we can’t wait to share them with you. We are committed to updating our flagship HTC One family as fast as possible as part of our HTC Advantage program.

OnePlus One Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule

The update will come to the OnePlus One 3 months after the release of Google releasing the final Android 5.0 Lollipop build. The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule was confirmed on the OnePlus forum. It was announced. So, we promise to have it done within three months of their releasing a final build.

Sony Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Date Schedule

Sony hasn’t provided an Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedule, however, we should be shocked if the Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Compact and other Sony devices released within the past year don’t get an update. We anticipate the update to start rolling out to Nexus devices on Halloween, with November and December being the prime times for OEMs to start pushing out the update. We will keep you posted as we learn more about Android 5.0 Lollipop release date schedules from each OEM.
